Marine Grade Copper-Nickel Alloy

Cupro Nickel 90/10 & 70/30

Cupro Nickel is a premier copper-based alloy containing nickel and strengthening elements like iron and manganese. Renowned for its superior resistance to seawater corrosion and natural antimicrobial properties, it is the industry benchmark for marine piping, heat exchangers, and offshore cooling systems.

Marine Excellence

Cupro Nickel alloys are unique for their ability to resist the attachment of marine organisms (biofouling). While the 90/10 grade (C70600) offers excellent ductility and weldability, the 70/30 grade (C71500) provides higher strength and better resistance to high-velocity silt-laden seawater.

  • Immune to Stress Corrosion Cracking
  • High Thermal Conductivity
  • Superior Erosion Resistance

Key Features

  • Inherent Biofouling Resistance: Copper-Nickel alloys naturally resist the attachment of marine organisms like barnacles and algae, maintaining clean surfaces and high flow efficiency in seawater systems.
  • Superior Erosion & Corrosion Defense: Engineered with Iron and Manganese to provide elite protection against impingement attack and erosion, especially in high-velocity turbulent seawater.
  • Excellent Thermal Conductivity: Offers high heat transfer efficiency, making it the preferred material over stainless steel for condensers, evaporator tubes, and marine heat exchangers.
  • Antimicrobial Properties: The high copper content provides a natural antimicrobial surface that effectively kills bacteria and viruses, useful in both industrial and specialized sanitary applications.
